Versa 2 won't connect to fitbit app after update and my account has been deleted

I have had a fitbit account since 2015. Approximately 2 years ago I purchased a Versa 2 and had no issues with it. Yesterday I updated the fitbit app and my versa2 would not sinc. Tried all the steps recommended! First I rebooted the watch. Then I turned Bluetooth on and off. Even removed other Bluetooth devices and still nothing. Restarted the phone and tried again. After nothing worked I removed the device and tried installing it again but still it doesn't even detect the watch. Finally I Uninstalled the app and installed it again. Tried signing in to my account but was unable to. Clicked on forgot password and waited for the email but I never received it. Finally I had to create a new account so I can log in here and post my problem so now on top of everything I have lost 5 years of data. Is this even possible?

I have had same problem today..tried everything.did you get yours to work at all?

Hi there. I posted the issue above. As you can see they have managed to recover my original account but I am still not able to connect my Versa2 to my phone. How about you ?

My phone is completely dead black screen I have decided to replace it with a Apple hopefully a upgrade
