Versa 2 won't connect to my phone anymore

My Versa 2 watch initially was not syncing to my phone. I have tried turning Bluetooth on and off, resetting my phone, and did a factory reset on my Fitbit. However, now it says “Connection with the device timed out.If this error persists, try restarting Bluetooth on your phone or rebooting the device.” I have also tried turning the Fitbit off and resetting it. However when I press down on the button, nothing happens and no Fitbit logo appears for at least 40 seconds. Please help

Hi there, @Butterballs. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the troubleshooting steps you've tried. I'm sorry to hear that your Versa 2 is still not connecting to your phone. I understand your concern, I will do my best to help you with this!

In addition to the steps you've done so far, please try the following in the order listed even if some of them you've tried already:

  • Unpair your Fitbit device from your phone's Bluetooth and Fitbit app.
  • Unpair other Bluetooth devices that you may also have paired to your phone's Bluetooth settings.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off other Bluetooth connections when not in use. This can help to prevent connectivity issues or Bluetooth interference.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth on your phone.
  • Plug it into the charging cable and open the Fitbit app.
  • Set up your Fitbit device.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Fitbit device.
  • Once your Fitbit device is paired and syncing, please proceed to set up your other Bluetooth devices to your phone again.

With the steps above, what I want you to do is to pair your Versa 2 first to your phone's Bluetooth settings before any other Bluetooth device is connected to your phone.

Hello,

I have tried all of the steps that you mentioned above and unpaired everything. It still says that the connection timed out when I am trying to set up my fitbit. In addition, when restarting my Versa 2, I am able to hold the button to turn it off but I am unable to turn it back on immediately. It takes anywhere from 2-5 minutes for the logo to appear on my watch after pressing and holding the side button.

Hello, I, too, is having issues with syncing. Since Aug 27th, 2024. I have an fitbit one, really old i know, but it still works. It would sync for one day and then the next day disappear. not sure what is going on. it does not show any where that there is a fitbit issue and there should be since lately everyone has been having issues. All my data like disappeared out of the blue. kind of disappointed. just wanted to let you all know.
