Versa 2 won't get text notifications only calls

I just bought my Versa 2 on Thanksgiving with the selling feature of being able to receive text and call notifications.  I have a Samsung Galaxy 7 phone.  I have tried all the trouble shooting and have everything turned on.  I now can get call notifications but have yet to receive a text message.   Feeling very disappointed with my purchase.

Hello everyone. I apologize for the late response.

Thank you so much for your efforts in troubleshooting the issue about text notifications not coming through your Fitbit Versa 2.

I'd appreciate if you follow the steps below (or confirm that you tried them as follows):

1. Go into your phone's Bluetooth menu
2. Tap on the icon next to your Fitbit device
3. Press Forget this device
4. Re-open the Fitbit app and re-bond your device

5. Set up notifications again

For iOS, please see: Troubleshooting quick tips for iPhone and for Android: Why are notifications delayed or missing?

Also, I was wondering if the mobile device you're syncing with is included in our list of supported devices? You can see the list at: Which phones and tablets can I use with my Fitbit watch or tracker?

Fitbit products are compatible with most devices that have the following operating systems: Apple iOS 12.2 and higher, Android OS 7.0 and higher, or Windows 10 v1607 or higher.

Please keep in mind that when a device is not supported and does not meet the require OS we cannot guarantee its functionality with the Fitbit app. It might work at a certain time and then it can stop working out of nowhere after an update. This is because the app is not optimized to that device and any change could impact the performance.

Hope this helps, let me know how it goes.

I was able to get mine working through the help of support.

They emailed me directly and we were able to troubleshoot & try different things until finally getting texts to come through.  Haven't had any issues since.

I have an Iphone X.

Hopefully you can get them working asap!

This was awesome! Worked within seconds, didn't need to restart anything, and my fitbit was even very low on battery. Easy peasy, lemon squeezy. (super cheesey, I know, it's how I roll.) Thanks MeLori!!
