It's only 9 mths I have the versa 2 and keep having issues since Feb.2021. I am not able to receive emails nor text msg since Feb. And the customer service is no help..trying to tell me my phone is the problem or I am told to restart the device or my phone and just keep repeating same non sense and yet no result. Did an update,Now it's worse, the battery is not holding charge. Fully charge before I sleep and next morning no battery life. Ridiculous...I am never getting this product again nor will I recommend it... absolute waste, I cannot even get a year service from it.

@Plakhan Thanks for stopping by in the Community Forums and for your efforts in troubleshooting the issue with your Versa 2. We‘re taking your comments and sentiments in regards to our products and services into consideration.

As for the notifications not coming through your watch, please note that if you're getting this error message “Notification service is not running. A phone restart is required to re-enable notifications on your tracker”, please note that we’re aware of it and are working to identify a resolution as quickly as possible.

However, if you have a Huawei phone you can try the following steps:

  1. On your phone, open the Settings app > Apps and notifications > Apps.
  2. Tap Fitbit > Battery.
  3. Turn off the Power-intensive prompt option.
  4. Tap Launch.
  5. Turn off the Manage automatically option, and turn on the Auto-launch, Secondary launch, and Run in background options.
  6. Tap OK.

Note that you may see a message on your phone related to power consumption and apps scanning in the background. If you follow the steps in this message, the Fitbit app can’t run in the background and certain features may not work properly. Repeat the steps above to enable the Fitbit app to run in the background.

Regarding to the battery not lasting as expected; as you may know, your Versa 2 battery should last up to 6 days. However, as with other electronic devices, the battery will depend on the features and how often they're used, such as the GPS, Spotify app or the Always-On display. While this doesn't mean that you shouldn't use them, please take into consideration the conditions that impact your watch's battery.

That being said, I'd recommend to change the clock face to one designed by Fitbit and please confirm if you've followed the tips and recommendations to maximize your watch's battery life described here.
