Versa 2 won't pair to Samsung phones

I just got my Versa 2 as a Christmas present and have it all set up but it will not pair with my Samsung Bluetooth, all I get is a "pairing rejected message"  I have tried with 2 different Samsung phones,

I have reinstalled the Fitbit app several times,  restarted my phone several times with and without Bluetooth on and it won't work.  I've seen similar issues on this forum, is there a problem with the Versa 2. This item is not cheap and I would expect it to work
