Versa 2 won't pair to my Fitbit app again

Thank you. I had to do a factory reset so wanted to know that I have the right firmware. However, since I did the reset my Versa 2 is no longer functioning. It just has the Fitbit  logo and cycles through all the languages. Its been doing this for about 2 hours now.

Hi there @Holly33, welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post, I'll be glad to help you to set up your Versa 2 to your Fitbit app again.

Please note that the difficulty you are having to set up your Versa 2 usually happens when you perform a factory reset without first unpairing the watch. In order to solve this issue, I'd recommend trying the steps below:

  • Remove your Versa 2 from your Fitbit account and unpair it from your phone's Bluetooth.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off the Bluetooth.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth.
  • Setup your Versa 2 again.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Versa 2.

If you can't get started with your Versa 2, usually a missing requirement is the cause. Carefully review the requirements provided in the help article: Why can't I set up my Fitbit device?

If you want to know the current firmware version installed on your watch, in the Fitbit app tap the Today tab > your profile picture > your device image (the firmware version number appears under your device's name) or on your Versa 2, in the Settings app About or Device Info.

Let me know if you need further assistance, I'll be around.

I am having this issue as well. After doing a suggested factory reset, it won't reconnect to my app. I've unpaired my device from my account, uninstalled the FitBit app, turned my Bluetooth on and off, restarted my device, reinstalled FitBit app, restarted my Versa 2-- nothing is making it work. The app finds the device, then once I put in the code it never connects. Is there anything else I can do or is my Versa 2 just dead and needs to be replaced? It is only 9 months old and up until doing this reset (after beta testing), I've never had any issues!

How do I get my Versa 2 to reset up when it won't turn on.  The fitbit logo just flashes and so it won't sych with my Bluetooth on my apple or the app again.  Before I tried these steps it said last syched last night and couldn't find it.

Hi there @jamoore151, thanks for stopping by in the Community Forums. I appreciate the details provided in your post about the inconveniences you've been having with your Versa 2 and your efforts in following the tips and recommendations I provided above.

While reading your post I was wondering if your Versa 2 vibrates when you connect it to the charger? If it doesn't, please try the steps below:

  • Clean the charging contacts on the back of your device and the pins on your charging cable using the instructions in How do I clean my Fitbit device?
  • If the error "insufficient power source" appears on your device's screen, remove other devices plugged in to your power source, or plug your device in to another source.
  • Try a different USB port or a UL-certified wall charger.
  • Check the alignment and try reconnecting your device to the charging cable. For more information, see How do I charge my Fitbit device?
  • Restart your Fitbit once again. For more information, see How do I restart my Fitbit device?

If the above steps don't work, at this point I recommend doing a factory reset (before doing so, make sure to remove your watch from your Fitbit account):

  1. Hold the back button for about 8 seconds.
  2. When the Fitbit logo disappears:
    1. Release the button briefly (for less than 2 seconds).
    2. Hold the button again until you feel a second, longer vibration, which indicates you initiated the factory reset.

You can follow the steps to set up the device after that: How do I set up my Fitbit device?

Take into consideration that a factory reset deletes any stored data, which includes all data that hasn't synced to your Fitbit account, your applications, alarms, etc.

Let me know if you need further assistance.

Sorry but this is zero help.  My Fitbit Logo has just been flashing since yesterday morning.  It was dead this morning I charged it...although it doesn't show it charging it did charge.  But still nothing just the slow heart beat of the Fitbit Logo.  I went through the process of deleting the app and device as stated in other chats to try to fix this and now I can not add my fitbit back, my devices....both phones won't find it now...indicated it is off....it's not off just not responding.  Just the Logo every few seconds.

Finally gave up on selfhelp and called yesterday.  The customer service rep I spoke to was great.  My watch will not go back to factory setting or anything else.  Just keeps slowing about every 10 seconds flashing the FitBit logo.  Fortunatly for me I am still under warranty so a new fitbit is now on it's way.

Did you ever get this fixed? I have been trying for almost 4 months to get my Versa 2 to connect with my fitbit app and it just wont. It freezes every **ahem** time after I enter the 4 digit code. Idk what to do?! I have bought and returned both the Versa 3 and Sense bc they are inferior to the Versa 2. Neither correctly track my steps. Im just so disappointed in fitbit.
