Versa 2 won't pair to my phone

The fitbit app requires pairing. Cannot go further with the set up without the pairing. The watch is not charging past half way. No devices found on Bluetooth. The watch is switched on next to the phone. I am stuck now with set up. Why is pairing always so hard with every device ????
