My son got his grandmothers versa 2 watch when she bought a new one. But when we tried to sync it to his phone it does not work. The watch just keep looking for something to pair to. The bloothooth is ofcourse on both on the watch and his phone.

I have versa3 and does not have any trouble syncing.

Hi there, @CamillaL83. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the issue with the Versa 2.

As @NancyB has mentioned, did you remove the Versa 2 from the old phone? If you guys haven't done so yet, please try the steps below:

  • Unpair the Versa 2 from the old phone's Bluetooth and also from your son's phone.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off other Bluetooth connections when not in use. This can help to prevent connectivity issues or Bluetooth interference.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth on your new phone.
  • Plug it into the charging cable and open the Fitbit app.
  • Set up the Versa 2 again.

If you continue having difficulties to setup the Versa 2, see Why can't I set up my Fitbit device?

Might still be linked to his gm’s phone & acct? You need to do a factory reset (under settings) then set it up as a new device on his phone.
