Versa 2 won't receive notifications from my phone

I bought brand new versa 2 about a month ago. Every morning since I got it I have to restart my phone or I don’t get any notifications. My wife has a versa 2 and we both have iPhone 8. Hers doesn’t have this problem and I got her versa 2 used. All updates are complete and our settings are the exact same.

I'd like you to please verify and confirm the following to me:

  1. Current OS of your iPhone?
  2. Are your Versa 2 watches syncing?
  3. You both have toggled the iMessage setting; general > Messages > iMessage
  4. Verified the `Show Previews` to be on `Always`.
  5. You've followed the steps provided here: Troubleshooting quick tips for iPhones.
