Versa 2 won't receive notifications from my phone

I have tried all the help topics and I still don’t not receive text messages to my versa 2.   Any other ideas

Hi there @SunsetRunner, welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the difficulties you've been having to receive notifications on your Versa 2. I appreciate you've already taken the time to troubleshoot this issue prior to posting here, I'll be glad to continue assisting you. 

Would you mind letting me know which notification (app) is not coming through your Versa 2? iMessages, Facebook, WhatsApp? 

In the meantime, please confirm that you've tried the steps below:

Share system notifications

  1. Tap Settings > Bluetooth > next to the name of your Fitbit device.
  2. Turn Share System notifications OFF and then back ON.

If you don’t see the Share system notifications option:

  1. Restart your Fitbit device.
  2. Tap Allow when you receive a message on your phone asking if you want your Fitbit device to show notifications.
  3. Tap next to the name of your Fitbit device and turn on Share System Notifications.

Show previews

Tap Settings > Notifications. Make sure Show Previews is set to Always or When Unlocked.

App notifications settings

For each app that sends notifications, tap Settings > Notifications > the name of the app and verify these settings:

  • Allow Notifications—On
  • Alerts > Notification Center—On
  • Show PreviewsAlways or When Unlocked

Hello,

 

I have tried all of the above steps and several other suggestions I have seen and I am still not getting texts on my Versa. I have deleted the app, disconnected and reconnected on bluetooth, reset the watch, everything and I haven't been able to get texts. The watch still syncs for everything else and I get notices for phone calls and a couple of apps I have linked up.

Hi there @misslaura, welcome to the Community Forums. I'm sorry to hear that you're also having issues to receive notifications on your Versa. Thanks for letting me know you've troubleshooted your watch as suggested here and other forums. I understand where your concern is coming from, I'm here to help you.

While reading your post I was wondering (in case you have an iOS device) if the text messages your watch is not receiving are iMessages? I also have an iPhone and had a similar trouble with those messages, but I tried toggling the iMessage setting; general > Messages > iMessage and verified the "Show Previews" was on "Always".
