Hi

If I do a factory reset on the Fitbit versa 2 - will it erase all my data attached to the Fitbit app ?

my Fitbit versa won’t receive text notifications

There can be many reasons why you don't receive notifications that a factory reset won't even resolve or make the situation worse, so explore a solution less drastic.

NB, if you factory reset the watch there is a risk too it may not recover after, so proceed only as a last resort.

All data synced to the phone is stored on the servers, only data in the watch is lost when you factory reset. So as long as you make sure the sync says a moment ago you won't lose anything.

Solutions for your problem depend on the phone you have.

Hi there, @AussieK88. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for sharing the details about the issue with your Versa 2.

As @Guy_ has stated, depending of the issue you have with the notifications and the mobile phone you own, a factory reset might or might not resolve your issue. So, may I know if you are having issues with all notifications in general or you may have noticed that this is happening with iMessages only? I also have an iPhone and I did have a similar inconvenience, but I tried toggling the iMessage setting; general > Messages > iMessage and verified the "Show Previews" was on "Always". If this steps don't work for you, I suggest taking a look at the help article Troubleshooting quick tips for iPhones.

Regarding your inquiry about the factory reset, please ake into consideration that a factory reset deletes any stored data, which includes all data that hasn't synced to your Fitbit account, your applications, alarms, etc. Please consider the information just provided above before deciding whether a factory reset is the best option or not.

Hope that does the trick for you, let me know how it goes.
