Versa 2 won't receive text notifications

When I go to the Fitbit app to make sure that my text message notifications are turned on, I choose my text message app, but when it goes to the notifications screen, only the calls notifications shows the green button.  The messages have nothing next to them.  I have a Samsung 20 Android phone.  I have Uninstalled and re-installed the fitbit app.  Please help.

Hi there, @D.Groves. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the inconvenience with your Versa 2.

As for the text, please note that you can choose 1 app per category. The most common apps for these features are:

  • Calls—Dialer
  • Text messages—Messages
  • Calendar events—Calendar
  • Emails—Gmail

However, for "Text Messages" section you can only select your primary text messaging app (that can be WhatsApp, your phone's default Message app or any other). Nevertheless, in "App Notifications" section you can select more apps, for example if you decided that for your primary text messaging app you want it to be WhatsApp, in App Notifications you can enable Messages app.

I choose just "messages" for my text messages, but after it slides to tge on button I go back to the notifications page and only calls are listed as on.
