Versa 2 won't set up, it's stuck on Fitbit Logo

Hi got my fitbit versa 2 for xmas and been trying to set it up for days.

 

i put it in the charger to charge and nothing happens then ill go back an hour or few hours later and all the fitbit shows is the fitbit icon logo, then as soon as i disconnect the charger it disappears

 

it wont respond to any of the off button responses and i only get the fitbit icon when it is plugged in, but cant do anything about it as it wont pick up bluetooth or respond to my touch.

 

There is no writing under the logo telling me what to do , only the icon
