Versa 2 won't set up with my iPhone XR anymore

I noticed recently that my versa 2 wasn’t syncing with my iphone. I have tried all the trouble shooting suggestions…. Turning my phone off and back on. Resetting the versa, removing the device in the app, forgetting the device in my Bluetooth settings… now I get stuck trying to set it up again. The app will send a 4 digit code to my Fitbit but when it tries to go to the next step I get a message that “something went wrong” and I can only abort. I even tried setting it up on my daughter’s phone… same issue.
I have been a Fitbit customer and user for many years and I love my Fitbit,  but now I feel like I have no choice but to switch to a different product.
I am using my iPhone XR running IOS 16.6

Any help would be appreciated!

Hi there, @pgeelen. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Versa 2 before reaching out. I understand how you must be feeling.

In addition to the steps you've done so far, please try the following in the order listed even if some of them you've tried already:

  • Unpair your Versa 2 from your phone's Bluetooth and Fitbit app.
  • Unpair other Bluetooth devices that you may also have paired to your phone's Bluetooth settings.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off other Bluetooth connections when not in use. This can help to prevent connectivity issues or Bluetooth interference.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth on your phone.
  • Plug it into the charging cable and open the Fitbit app.
  • Set up your Versa 2.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Versa 2.
  • Once your Versa 2 is paired and syncing, please proceed to set up your other Bluetooth devices to your phone again.

With the steps above, what I want you to do is to pair your Versa 2 first to your phone's Bluetooth settings before any other Bluetooth device is connected to your phone.
