Versa 2 won't show my steps on the main screen

No matter what face I use, It won't show the amount of steps, unless i tap on the clock face and then tap twice to get to the specs for steps. bpm etc. go into settings. My **ahem** face always displays 0 for steps

Have you checked if your Versa 2 is not on always-on display mode? This feature will only show you the time on the main screen all the time, unless you press the button of your watch to see other features and stats. If Always-On is enable, to exit this mode, turn your wrist toward you, press the button, or double-tap the display. For more information, see How do I see the time on my Fitbit device?
