Versa 2 won't stay connected to my iPhone SE

I purchased an IPhone SE 2 weeks ago and ever since then every time I want to look at my Fitbit app it says it lost connection with my Fitbit verse 2. I go into setting and forget the device as instructed then pair it again then it’ll work. I go back a couple hours later and have to do the same thing over and over again. I have done all the trouble shooting I can find online. Any suggestions?

Hi there, @Smile81. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Versa 2 before reaching out.

As @Guy_ has recommended, please try the steps below:

  • Unpair your Versa 2 from your old and new phone's Bluetooth and also make sure it's no longer connect to your Fitbit app.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off the Bluetooth.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth.
  • Set up your Versa 2 again.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Versa 2.

If you can't get started with your Versa 2, usually a missing requirement is the cause. Carefully review the requirements provided in the help article Why can't I set up my Fitbit device?

Hi @Smile81 - this may be due to battery optimisation on the new phone not allowing the Fitbit App or associated services to run in background.

As for your old phone are you sure that it was completely disabled and that the watch Bluetooth entry was removed.

There may currently be a problem with the Fitbit App so not a good time to do investigations, see Fitbit app won't open on iPhone

The best way to pair is to remove the watch from the Bluetooth, logout of the Fitbit App  and swipe off the active window.

Restart the watch  [How do I restart my Fitbit device? and phone.

Login and wait for the pair and link prompts. If this doesn't work click the profile photo and "+ Set up a Device" and replace and sync.
