Every time I close the app and re open I have to re pair my device. I have to disconnect it from my settings it’s weird as been fine untill I update the app to the latest version last night.  It’s so annoying having to do this all the time. So I left the app open all day and still disconnects from being paired saying the connection was lost. Anyone else having these issues since updating the app? Also done all the restarts, reset, disconnect and reconnect the watch is not even a year old. A

@Tashapps Thanks for those details.

Usually your location will be requested whenever you're using the Fitbit app to capture GPS data. Because these prompts appear on other occasions, may I know if  the location services were set to Always or While Using App, and the Background App Refresh option was enabled when that happened? Also, let me know the model and OS version of your phones.

Keep me posted.

Hi there, @Tashapps. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Versa 2 before reaching out. I understand how you must be feeling.

Please try removing the Bluetooth connection between your phone and your Fitbit device:

*On your phone, tap Settings Bluetooth > the information icon next to the name of your Fitbit device > Forget This Device.
*Open the Fitbit app and set up the connection again. You should receive a message asking you to allow your Fitbit device to pair with your phone. Tap Pair to approve the request.

Sync your Versa 2 automatically when you open the Fitbit app or manually by tapping your profile picture > your device tile > Sync Now.

If the issue persists, see Why won't my Fitbit device sync?

I've moved your post to the Other Versa Smartwatches board for organization purposes.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for getting back to me.
I have to do this every time I open the app
I never had to. It’s just a pain as it’s something I don’t always leave open and have to connect for GPS also after leaving the app open for so long it disconnects also. Meaning I don’t get my phone notifications on my phone. Is the a glitch in the new updated app softaware?

I have a Versa 3 everything is up today and using the latest iPhone software to!

My issue is the constant pairing and having to forget the device

It didn’t do that they day before and only started when I updated the app

I don’t want to keep having to open the app
And forget device
Repair
For me to leave the app open and after time it lose the Bluetooth connection and start the process again

Do we think my fit bit is faulty? And I need a new one? Is anyone else reporting this issue
There is nothing wrong with the gps the gps is fine
