Versa 2 won't sync after critical low battery

I wasn't able to charge my versa and so the battery got down to 4%. Since then, I've been trying things to get it to sync to my Samsung galaxy s8+ for days now. It won't do it. I've even gone as far as uninstalling the fitbit app. I've had my versa 2 for only a month and I don't think I should be having any issues with it. How can I fix this?

I forgot to mention it's a versa 2 special edition
