Versa 2 won't sync and didn't track my sleep data

My Fitbit versa 2 messed up last night as well. It won't sync with my phone and it didn't track my sleep. I'm wondering if Fitbit sent out some kind of update or something and made them crash.

Hi there, @CaggyAnn2.0. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the issue with your Versa 2. I understand where your concern is coming from.

May I know the model of your mobile phone? Please make sure it meets the requirements listed here.

If your phone does meet the requirements, see Why can't I set up my Fitbit device?

On a side note, please know that since you're an Android user you can't use MobileTrack in addition to a Fitbit device. For more information about MobileTrack, see How do I use Fitbit MobileTrack?

If you have MobileTrack linked to your Fitbit account you'll need to remove it in order to set up the Fitbit device and get back on track. For instructions, see How do I set up my Fitbit device?

As for the sleep data, I recommend considering the following in order to get sleep stages:

  • If you slept in a position that prevented your device from getting a consistent heart-rate reading or wore it too loosely. For best results, wear your device higher on your wrist (about 2-3 finger widths above your wrist bone). The band should feel secure but not too tight.
  • If you used the Begin Sleep Now option in the Fitbit app (instead of simply wearing your device to bed). For more information on automatic sleep tracking, see How do I track my sleep with my Fitbit device?
  • If you slept for less than 3 hours.
  • If your device’s battery is critically low.

For more information, see What should I know about Fitbit sleep stages?
