Versa 2 won't sync my hourly activity goal accurately

I have my Fitbit set to do a certain number of steps per hour, and on my watch it shows that I've done all nine, but yet when I sync it to my phone it shows I've done eight. Today I know I missed on hour so instead of showing eight it says seven. Anyone else having this issue?

Hi @Babybear42 - it can happen that when the final calculation is done and steps done in the last seconds of an hour fall in the next hour.

If you use a clock face such as SimpleClockPro it will show the complete history of steps per hour for the day.

If the last steps fall in the next hour, then you didn’t meet the steps per hour.  Do you have an explanation that makes sense?

If you put your Fitbit on your ankle when you ride your spin bike, then you just don’t get it.

Hi @NanaRuns  - the counting of steps isn't immediate.

The software tries to filter false movements being counted as steps.

The algorithm that does this differs whether you choose dominant or non dominant wrist.

It can throw away false movements or count them and the delay can mean steps that were done in one hour werent recorded till the next hour in the Fitbit App but are counted in the original hour differently on the watch. It only needs to differ by 1 step count and may happen in rare cases where the activity falls in the last seconds of an hour.

Basically you are getting more real time view on the watch and a calculated view in the app.

In addition, there can be discrepancies between the different views in the Fitbit app depending on how much information has been synced when you look, but a few moments later they should correspond between summary and detailed information.
