Versa 2 won't sync to my Android phone

The last 2 days my fitbit 2 will not sync with my Samsung galaxy s21, I have tried everything in the trouble shooting advice, rebooted both watch and phone, unpaired devices, factory reset the watch, uninstalled & reinstalled the fitbit app and nothing has worked. I just get a red circle with an exclamation mark inside every time I try to sync it. Any ideas how to solve this?

I admire all the troubleshooting steps you tried to get your Versa 2 up and running again. I’m sure it’s been frustrating. I looked at all you have tried and I wondered if setting up your Versa 2 as a new device would work. I’m not sure if you’ve actually tried this yet so I apologize if you have. Since you already did a factory reset then I’m sure you already know your old data is gone.
Here’s how to set up a new device:

  1. Go into your phone's Bluetooth settings and look for all Fitbit devices that show as paired.
  2. Remove all of the Fitbit devices that show up.
  3. Restart your phone.
  4. Open your Fitbit App, tap your profile picture then scroll down and tap “set up a device”
  5. Choose Versa 2 in the list and simply follow instructions as if your Fitbit Versa 2 is brand new.
