Versa 2 won't sync to my Galaxy S9

My fitbit is  not syncing with my Galaxy S9, it was performing with no issues, but now it won't sync. I uninstalled, and reinstalled the app, tthree times, check the device settings and made sure I gave permission to allow Fitbit, blue tooth is on, and paired to versa. Every time I finally got it to repair and sync; the same issue happens again.

Check you battery saving setup on the phone, it should work well on this phone

On the phone check battery optimizations

[the options may be different in your version]

  • First go to Settings > Apps & Notification > Special app access
  • Click on Battery optimization
  • Now press the drop down menu [...] and select “All Apps
  • Click on Bluetooth and then select “Don’t optimize
  • Same with Fitbit
  • Next go to Settings > Apps  > Fitbit > Storage
  • Clear cache [not data]
  • Force stop the Fitbit app

 

The same Android clear cache and force stop are a good way to resolve most issues [sometimes a logout too], saves a lot of fiddling about.

Occasionally a restart of both watch and phone restores things.

 

Note this Quick Shortcut: Press and hold the Fitbit launch icon, then App info [on some phones].

Hi there, @Stormmoon25. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Versa 2 before reaching out. 

In addition to the steps you've performed so far and @Guy_'s suggestions, I'd recommend trying to following:

1. Remove the Versa 2 from your phone's Bluetooth settings and the Fitbit app.
2. Restart your Versa 2.
3. Turn off other Bluetooth connections when not in use.
4. Plug it into the charging cable and open the Fitbit app.
5. Set up your Versa 2.
