Versa 2 won't track my distance accurately

I walked with a friend this weekend the exact same distance.  Her mileage was about a quarter mile longer than mine.  How can I adjust this?  I have googled it, but directions say to "go to advanced settings".  I cannot find advanced settings.

Can anyone help?

Stride length settings location has changed, probably since what you found in search.

On phone app, tap days of Exercise tile, then gear icon near top right.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

@loralei   You may or may not need to adjust your stride length.  Fitbit uses average stride lengths based on height and sex, but there are human factors that affect stride length at any given time.  People will have a different stride length at different walking speeds.  Two people walking side-by-side can wind up taking their steps in unison.  They will adjust their stride length to stay side-by-side.  You should walk a marked distance, manually counting your steps.  Do not use GPS and do not use your Fitbit to count the steps.  I don't think I would rush in to change my stride length based on one side-by-side walk.
