Versa 2 won’t track sleep

Help! I’ve had my Versa 2 Fit Bit for less than a month and a couple weeks ago it stopped tracking my sleep. I’ve tried everything I can think of: restart, tightening the band so it reads better, even having my husband wear it at night to see if it would work for him. It didn’t. What do I do?

Hi @jmc52617, welcome to our Fitbit Community! I'm sorry to hear that your Versa 2 has stopped tracking your sleep. By the way, thank you for troubleshooting this issue before contacting our forums.

I'd like you to try a factory reset. To do so on your device, follow the steps below:

  1. On the device, hold all three buttons for about 10 to 12 seconds.
  2. When the Fitbit logo disappears, quickly release the bottom right button, continuing to hold down the left and top right buttons (releasing the bottom right button as soon as the logo disappears is time sensitive).
  3. When the device vibrates, release all buttons.
  4. Wait for approximately 1-2 minutes while the device clears all data. Eventually, the Fitbit logo appears and the device boots and displays Fitbit.com/setup.
  5. Set up your watch from scratch

Also, I'd like to share this help page, which explains how your Fitbit device tracks your sleep.

Finally, monitor your Versa 2 and see if it tracks your sleep properly.

Keep me posted on the outcome.

Hi @jmc52617, I really apologize for the misunderstanding on my end. Please follow the steps below in order to perform a factory reset on your Versa 2:

  1. Hold the back button for about 8 seconds.
  2. When the Fitbit logo disappears:
  • Release the button briefly (for less than 2 seconds).
  • Hold the button again until they feel a second, longer vibration, which indicates they initiated the factory reset.

After this, keep an eye on your watch and see if the issue gets fixed.

Let me know how it goes.
