Versa 2 won't track steps without arm movement

My Versa 2 is not tracking my steps while I am using an under the desk treadmill. Is there a way to fix this?

I always wear my Fitbit on my ankle using a Versa 2 ankle strap I got on Amazon for $12. I love mine it’s comfortable, lightweight and it still registers my heart rate as well. Just type “Versa 2 Ankle Strap” in the Amazon search bar. Lots of different color’s to choose from as well. They are adjustable enough to wear on both your ankle and your wrist. Your at your desk working out on your treadmill so it makes every step count!
