My 2 month old Versa 2 stopped working. Buzzed like a notification and when I looked a screen and it was black with fuzzy dots (sort of a starry sky in Alaska. Tried restarting and recharging, but no luck.

@wqd, welcome to our Fitbit Community! Regarding the screen and charging issues that your Fitbit Versa 2 is experiencing, I appreciate the time spent trying to get this issue resolved before contacting our forums.
I was able to get in touch with our Support team and was told that you contacted them as @SunsetRunner suggested via phone. I'm so glad to hear that a solution was provided and you will be back on track soon.
