Got a new one for Christmas but can not get it to charge. Screen black. Any suggestions? Thanks.

@spetracca, welcome to our Fitbit Community and congratulations on your new Versa 2. I'm happy to assist you with your watch since it's not taking a charge and won't turn on.
I would like to know if your Versa 2 vibrates when you put it on the charger.
In the meantime, please try the troubleshooting steps that are listed in this help article. After this, charge your watch for 2-3 hours and see if the issue gets fixed.
