My Versa 2 suddenly went dead. I put it on the charger for several hours thinking it was the battery. It did not vibrate when I put it on the charger as it usually does. Then I tried restarting by holding the button until I saw the Fitbit logo. When I look on my app it states “looking” it has been doing that all night so now the battery needs charging. I have it back on the charger. It still won’t turn on. Any help would be really appreciated!

Well, it looks as though Fitbit is definitely aware since one of their moderators finally chimed in. We have all tried their resets, uninstalls, reinstalls, jumping through hoops for days, etc. to no avail! There is apparently no compression there!

I tried customer support and it’s still not working. I have a $200 paperweight

I noticed mine was suddenly not working last night. I tried holding the side button for 10-15 seconds a few times and no response. The same thing happened to me with the charger. No response when I plugged it in and no response after charging for a while. I have had so many issues with the Versa 2. I would not recommend a Fitbit to anyone anymore.

I have a Versa lite and the same thing happened. It started off with the screen dying or all of a sudden going black and not responding. Therefore, I followed Fitbit's recommendations in previous troubleshooting post and i tried to restart mine. It vibrated so I knew it worked but then the battery quickly drained. Despite having it plugged in for the last 18 hrs, it won't respond/ turn itself back on and/ or sink with the app. Given the screen dying I was going by vibrations and the app but now I can't even get that. I find it suspicious that we all seem to have run into the same thing on and or around the same time. It makes you wonder if this is a bug or glitch that's linked to an update and this whole thing is what has burnt out our trackers

I’ve been going through all the “helps”. I went to the App Store and there was an update for Fitbit. I connected the watch to the charger and it was at 3% battery ( it was at 80% this morning). The display is on after the update. We’ll see if it holds when I take it off of the charger.

Same here. Just went off on its own and tried charging but nothing happening. I held the button and still no response. I put on the charger again and it's just getting hot.

How did you do? Is it working?

Same for me. I charge it to 100% and before day is over it is dead! No way this many people are having same issue and it isn’t connected. Something must be wrong with Fitbits universally

I have the same problem. I bought a new charger as I thought it may have been faulty but it’s still dead & black. I’ve tried a hard reset but not getting anywhere

Did yours stop working after doing an update on the firmware?
