Hello @SunsetRunner

When syncing your Versa 2 it should sync to the date and time that you have to the mobile device you have paired with your tracker. Try this, open your Fitbit app, tap your profile picture then scroll down to and tap App Settings then tap time zone. Is your time zone correctly shone? Is your time zone enabled as automatic? If it is wrong please make the change to the correct time zone then sync your Versa 2. If your time zone is already correct and set to automatic try turning it off, sync your Versa 2 then turn it back on and sync your Versa 2 again. 😃 hopefully that resolved things. Let me know how it goes

Update: Hello again @martharose880  I wanted to check back in with you to see if my suggestions on your Fitbit Versa 2 syncing the time but not the date resolve the issue.

 Keep me posted

Hi there, @SunsetRunner. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post and for making sure that your Versa 2 is syncing.

As @SunsetRunner mentioned, please keep in mind that your Fitbit device may show an incorrect time if it hasn't synced or has been unpaired from your Fitbit account. Your Fitbit grabs the time of the device you're syncing with. To make sure your watch has recently synced, go to your Fitbit account, tap the Today tab > your profile picture > your device image.

If by any chance you are running into syncing issues, see Why won't my Fitbit device sync? or if  you need to relink your watch, see How do I set up my Fitbit device?

Also, note that the time on your Fitbit device may be wrong after you travel to a different time zone or when clocks change for Daylight Savings. If you changed time zones and the time on your Inspire is still incorrect after syncing, make sure the time zone setting is correct. For more information, see How do I change the time on my Fitbit device?

If none of the above works for your, I recommend changing your time zone to a complete different one, sync your device, put the correct time and sync again.

Hope this helps!

Just got back from a trip to a different time zone, and the time on my Versa 2 refused to update to my home time even after syncing multiple times, shutting down the app (iOS 15.5) and re-opening the app and re-syncing, restarting the Versa and re-syncing, toggling Automatic Time Zone to off, etc., etc.--basically, following all the suggestions I found online.

Nothing worked until I found a post here from about 9 months ago where a user with the same issue found success by logging into their account on a computer and updating the time zone there as well as on the app. My app had been showing the correct time zone the whole time, but when i logged into my account on a computer and hunted down the Time Zone setting (which is hidden in Personal Info), it was still set to my vacation time zone. Note that the computer had not moved from the home time zone--we didn't take it on vacation, so there's no reason it would have made the change. In fact, it's a new-ish laptop, and I hadn't even logged into Fitbit on this laptop before. After I updated the time zone on the computer and then re-synced, the Versa finally displayed the right time.

I don't sync to the computer, typically. I sync to my app on the iPhone. Seems to me the Versa should consider the app on my iPhone as the source of truth, so I would call this a bug. At a minimum, Fitbit folks, there should be a setting to assign the primary device the Versa should use for the actual source of truth.
