Versa 2 won't work with my Google Pixel

Hello. I have the Versa 2 and recently bought a Google Pixel 6. I'm having great difficulty syncing the phone up with my watch. Looking up information online hasn't been easy, so I am coming to you good people. Did I make a mistake? Does FitBit Versa 2 and a Google Pixel 6 work well with each other?

Hi there, @myerock81 @Schpeeds. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Fitbit devices before reaching out. We‘re taking your comments and sentiments in regards to our products and services into consideration.

As first approach, I'd recommend making sure that both mobile phones meet the requirements listed here.

Despite meeting the above requirements, the following devices often exhibit compatibility issues that cause our products and services to not operate properly:

  • Huawei P8 Lite
  • Huawei P9 Lite
  • Xiaomi Mi 6
  • Huawei P20 Lite
  • See these additional instructions for help resolving any issues using the Fitbit app on this device.

If your phone is not on the list above and meets the requirements to operate properly with the Fitbit app, please try what @Guy_ has suggested you or you can also try the following:

1. Remove the Versa 2 from your phone's Bluetooth settings and in the Fitbit app.
2. Restart your Versa 2.
3. Turn off other Bluetooth connections when not in use.
4. Plug it into the charging cable and open the Fitbit app.
5. Set up your Versa 2.

Hope that helps.

I am consistently experiencing the same issue with my Versa 2 and new Google Pixel 6. I've tried everything listed on the website to troubleshoot and even contacted support once. The best advice support could offer was to sync the Versa 2 on another device (I used my old Pixel 3). It stayed up to date for a day or two and then the same problems persisted.

I am having the same issue. Have tried everything, even called support. Now I have started a Factory Reset on my Fitbit and it has been in that mode for a very long time. When I looked that up, there were people who have devices in that "Factory Reset" mode for hours. I have had multiple phones, and multiple different Fitbit devices over the last 6 or so years. Never had an issue syncing. Until now. And no real answers.

Same here. My sense worked fine on the Pixel 5 but not at all on the Pixel 6

In good news, my Versa 2 finally did sync to the Pixel 6. I did a reset of my Fitbit, and then I uninstalled and reinstalled the FitBit app on the phone. It took a really long time (like over an hour) for the Fitbit to come back from the reset, I thought I was definitely going to have to buy a new one. But eventually, it did come back and I was able to connect and sync to my phone. In good news, for some reason after the reset, my Fitbit Versa 2 holds a charge for alot longer now.

I eventually got mine to work by first resetting the Fitbit...it takes a super long time for it it come back up--mine took several hours. And then I uninstalled and reinstalled the app on my phone. It took some time, and when my Fitbit went blank I thought I had killed it. But it did come back up and actually holds a charge a lot longer than before. The Google Pixel 6 does work with a Versa 2. It just takes some updating.

I have a Versa 2 and Google Pixel 6 and had no problem syncing, try restarting phone and watch and try again.

I am having this same problem. I have factory reset my fitbit, restarted everything on my Pixel 6 Pro, uninstalled and reinstalled the app. Good Wi-Fi and both are charged. My Versa worked on my old iPhone earlier today, which is now off and again... I had factory reset my Versa 2.

I'm having the same issue with my versa 3 and my pixel 6. I can get it to connect, but it won't stay connected. I have to restart my phone and watch almost daily to keep it paired. It's frustrating that a product sold by Google does not work will with other Google products.

Hello, I hope you see this and have success like me. I removed versa 2 from app, uninstalled the app, took off versa 2 from Bluetooth, restarted versa 2, restarted phone. Downloaded Fitbit, added Versa 2 and connected. All the people above did not mention going to Fitbit settings in the app. I clicked on notifications and Text messeges and it made me select Allow access to contacts and maybe another setting. Once I did that, it is now working perfectly.

I think the problem was that I got the Google Pro 6 and all info transferred to new phone, but it was missing the approval to access my phone. I hope this helps fellow Versa users. You have to make sure it asks for access to contacts for messages.
