Versa 2 workout heart rate is dropping off at peak levels during hard exercise

I bought my Versa 2 about 8 months ago, when I decided that it was time to start exercising hard again. 

By enlarge I have been very happy with the watch, but sadly for me ever since the latest update, a very annoying error appears to be occurring with increasing regularity, and due to it, my Versa 2 is no longer recording my peak levels of exercise activity. 

What's the problem exactly? 

During workout mode, and when my exercise activity (heart rate) begins to cross over the point of 160 beats + the Versa 2 just drops off to 110-120 BPM, for a short of time, then it begins to climb up again. Until it drops off again. The longer I stay in 160+ BPM the more the error shows up.

How do I know that this information is in incorrect on the Versa 2? 

1. My exercise activity is going up, I am sweating intensely and not stopping, so no reason for my heart rate to be so low at those points of the workout.

2. I also wear a Polar OH1 sensor on my arm during these exercise sessions; this device records data on the MapMyRun app and thi information is displayed on my phone during exercise. It has shown, and has recorded, my heart rate going up, at the point of high physical exertion unlike the Versa 2. 

This problem is becoming quite irritating, it's now happening all the time regardless of exercise activity. Eg. during exercise on my stationary bike, dancing, stepper, climbing frame, etc.

If someone can help with this problem, I would be appreciated. 🌼
