I bought my Versa 3 last year and have had trouble syncing from the get go. Setup sync add WiFi everything hunkydory. Go to sync it the next day... Nope! Can't find phone. Switch phone of and on, remove Bluetooth etc. Only thing that works is to remove device and reinstall. Did that yesterday for 10th+ time. Today "Can't find phone!"

Before considering other options, I recommend that you try restarting your watch following these steps.
Keep in mind that you need to sync through the Fitbit app and not through the Bluetooth settings on your phone. In addition to the restart, let me know if you already tried all the steps listed here to resolve syncing problems, and make sure to check the compatibility requirements listed here and to keep the Fitbit app updated to the latest version available.
