Versa 3 Controls won't connect to my phone anymore

My Versa 3 recently seemed to have a factory reset for no apparent reason. Now the controls for notifying calls etc won’t work despite trying to reconnect them several times. It’s very frustrating. Has there been some update that has skewed things? The watch is only about5 months old so not very happy.

Hi there, @Fitlass. Welcome to the Fitbit Communtiy Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the issue with your Versa 3 and your time in trying to troubleshoot it before reaching out. We‘re taking your comments and sentiments in regards to our products and services into consideration. @Guy_ Thank you so much for your help!

Since your Versa 3 went into a Factory Reset, please try the following steps in the order listed:

  • Unpair your Versa 3 from your old phone's Bluetooth and also from the new phone.
  • Unpair other Bluetooth devices that you may also have paired to your phone's Bluetooth settings.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off other Bluetooth connections when not in use. This can help to prevent connectivity issues or Bluetooth interference.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth on your new phone.
  • Plug it into the charging cable and open the Fitbit app.
  • Set up your Versa 3 again.
  • Set up the on-wrist calls once again.

With the steps above, what I want you to do is to pair your Versa 3 first to your phone's Bluetooth settings before any other Bluetooth device is connected to your phone.

Hi @Fitlass - if the watch factory reset it will need to be fully set up again in on wrist calls, which may entail going to Bluetooth on the phone and turning it on, also there is a setting in watch Settings for calls.

If it is still problematic one option is to remove both the watch Bluetooth entries from the phone and in the Fitbit App, logout and login, click profile photo and "+ set up a Device" and replace to make sure the entries are made again and configure on wrist calls again.
