Hello!

My Versa 3 Controls won't stay connected to my Bluetooth, my phone is a Samsung Galaxy s21! I have constantly reset the app and smartwatch and even turned off phone and turned on many times!

Can anyone help me resolve this issue, finding it really annoying!

Hi @PaulT67  -  normally the Versa 3 Controls won't stay connected to Bluetooth unless it is needed for something, like phone calls or music control..

Has something actually stopped working?

If text message don't come [which uses the Versa Bluetooth entry] it could be battery saving on the phone that is causing this.

Hi there, @PaulT67. Welcome to the Community Forums.

Please note that Versa 3 Controls might be listed as “Not Connected” in the list of Bluetooth devices on your phone. When you receive a phone call, the controls automatically reconnect. This feature requires more frequent charging. For more information, see How do I take on-wrist phone calls with my Fitbit smartwatch?

Hope that helps.

Hello again!

I use to be able play music from Versa 3 but for some unknown reason it won't let use the controls from the smartwatch, it had been working fine until maybe a week or so ago!

I have reset phone, fitbit app and uninstall the app and won't stay connected when I want to play music using the watch controls

Hope there is a solution for this feature!

@PaulT67  -  did you check your battery saving settings on the phone to make sure that Bluetooth and the Fitbit App [or even the music app] are not being shut down?

On the phone check battery optimizations

[the options may be different in your version]

  • First go to Settings > Apps & Notification > Special app access
  • Click on Battery optimization
  • Now press the drop down menu [...] and select “All Apps
  • Click on Bluetooth and then select “Don’t optimize
  • Same with Fitbit
  • Next go to Settings > Apps  > Fitbit > Storage
  • Clear cache [not data]
  • Force stop the Fitbit app

Then restart both your watch and phone to see if that helps.
