The Versa 3 Controls that control the Calls and Input Device settings from the phone's Bluetooth settings continually disconnects.
Here's what's happening & what I've been doing.
I'm on a Samsung Galaxy s10 phone.
The Versa 3 was added to the app and the Versa 3 Controls were working but when I got a call it didn't come through to the watch after the first day. So when I went into the phone's Bluetooth setting & found the Versa 3 Controls were paired but didn't show "connected". However the app and watch synced fine.
So I forgot the Versa 3 Controls and disconnected it in the Bluetooth settings in the watch. I then re-paired the watch with the phone and the Versa 3 Controls showed "connected for calls" again.
However after a certain amount of time this disappears and the watch doesn't take on wrist calls anymore. However, the watch & Fitbit app sync just fine.
So I go into the Fitbit app, click the "On Wrist Calls" button then back into the Bluetooth settings of the phone and it shows "connected for calls" again in the Versa 3 Controls. Then, again, after a certain time, it disconnects.
Round & round it goes, but after about 2 more times it just doesn't work doing that anymore and I have to completely forget the Versa 3 Controls in the Bluetooth settings and re-pair it again. Then it disconnects & I start the process all over again. Meanwhile, this whole time the watch syncs just fine with the app. It just doesn't take the on wrist calls.
The watch is 3 days old.
I've also removed the watch from the app & re-installed it. That didn't help either.
Any ideas?

Versa 3 Controls disconnects repeatedly with my IPhone 12. It does not stay
connected for very long. Also, my weather app on Fitbit Versa 3 does not
read the weather even though my Fitbit and IPhone are synced. It says “No
weather data available. Sync the Fitbit mobile app to update”. The weather
app has been working up until last night. I purchased this Fitbit on Jan.
15, 2021.

I didn’t realize that it was not supposed to be connected constantly. Thank
you for your response. It will help.

Do you have location services switched on in your privacy settings for iPhone? If they are off, the weather won’t sync. You also have to have the Fitbit app open in the background of your phone. Don’t swipe it off to clear it. If the app isn’t running in the background of your phone, then certain services won’t work on the watch.

The controls should, most of the time show as paired.

Not according to Fitbit!

Link???? The big thing Fitbit advertises is that the tracker does not stay connected.
People say that their controls don't stay connected, but no one has mentioned if the controls stop working.
Some have mentioned that during a call, the controls show as connected. I haven't looked.
It really doesn't matter how controls show up in the phones Bluetooth if the controls work when a call comes in.

unfortunately I cannot add a screenshot, but I have it confirmed in email, stating controls does not have to be connected to receive notifications.

You can post a screen shot even from the phone
Note it says paired, not connected.
I'll ask again, is anybody having issues talking through the wrist when answering a call?

So has there been a fix yet for those that said versa 3 controls is not even showing up on bluetooth pair list?
I've restarted phone and watch, unistalled & reinstalled, logged in & logged out. Just don't know what to do anymore. The on wrist calls was the reason i brought this piece of crap - note I've been having trouble all weekend getting just the watch to sync! then my premium membership just gets cancelled when i apparently requested it - which I didn't, and it still shows up in google subscriptions. not to mention issues changing watch faces....
Buy anyway, a fix for actually being able to find versa controls in my bluetooth would be great.

Through the watch, when you turn the controls on, the controls go into discovery mode. It is at this time the Sense Controls will show up on the phone. You may have to tell the phone to search.
Tap sense controls to pair.

I’m having exactly the same issue. Tried everything everyone else has tried. I can’t get texts, calls or emails. Now my phone can’t even discover versa 3 Controls. I’m about to return this thing - shouldn’t have to do a factory reset EVERY day, only to lose the connection after about an hour.

I solved my issue today.
On the watch, I went to settings, vibration & audio, then down to music control & on wrist calls. This was already activated, but I turned it off then on again. Went to my phone's Bluetooth, and versa controls were showing again.
I agree it's very frustrating, and shouldn't have to be reset as often as it does.
Now if I can just figure out the problem with lignite watch faces I'll be set!

@MLK01. have you followed @Zettakins instructions on how to put the Versa 3 controls into discovery mode. Then your phones Bluetooth will find it.
Any time the Versa 3 controls are turned off, or you remove controls from the phone Bluetooth, you fined the controls on versa 3 don't say paired or you find they don't work. This process will need to be repeated.

My galaxy is the WORST for fitness! It's been a turd since it was fresh out of the box & has even been sent back for calibrating . Still does not reach steps or HR accurately and it has only once given me a move notification and that was after a marathon xmas shop pushing a cart all day , phone tracked about 18000 steps and only half that on my galaxy watch . Granted this Fitbit versa 3 not connecting is ridiculous but so is not being able to turn off the HR since it's a moot feature on my tattooed skin. Apple watch for the win but sadly not a pair for my android phone . Alas the hunt goes on...maybe a Garmin next ?

Hi @Cupentine while your post has nothing to do with the subject of this thread.
Any arm based tracker is only able to track arm motions. Pushing a cart keeps your arm from moving in a way that it does not know the feet are moving.
The tracker will count bumps that the cart goes over.

As mentioned the Versa Controls are not suppose to stay connected, they simply stay paired. This way when needed or trusted and will connect.
It is no different then a paired Bluetooth speaker. The user does not have to approve the Connie toon everytime the speaker is turned on an asks to connect.

Contact Fitbit via Twitter. My versa 3 had some connection issues, a few screenshots later and all was fixed.
Not had an issue since. I can now receive messenger, WhatsApp and text (unfortunately can’t reply as I am on iOS which is a big downside, Fitbit really need to open up to iOS as well as android)) and calls.
