I’ve used the Versa 3 a few times while swimming, it’s been fine.
Yesterday it’s apparently died completely after 5 minutes in a pool.
I can’t get it back to life using any of the tips I’ve seen on line.
I can’t understand how this product can be specified for swimming use and swim tracking if it’s not actually waterproof!
The support team suggested that I dried it thoroughly but it hadn’t been in water for over 6 hours at that point.
This is my second device the first one had the front face fall off after about 6 months, I’ve had this replacement one maybe 8 months and now it’s needing replacement!
I can’t say I’m overly impressed by the design and quality!
I’ve been sent details of how to return for replacement under warranty but right now I’m in the middle of a walking holiday with no tracker!
Any suggestions please?

Hi there,
Sadly I have the same situation also. My fitbit Versa 3 has died after going swimming. I can see condensation inside my device at the rear where the charge points is. The device is supposed to be 50 metres waterproof. Is there any way of getting a replacement under warranty?
thanks. Paul (UK)

I’ve been in touch with customer service and I have a replacement due in the post within the next few days. I guess they have to have a decent customer service team when they have products unfit for purpose 🤷:male_sign:

I’ve a replacement coming soon, second one in the space of around 18 months, meanwhile I’ll be looking at something that’s actually waterproof for my next tracker when this one falls apart…
------
Replacement was waiting for me after returning from my walking holiday, I’d rather have recorded the steps on the trip though.
The model provided is the Versa 4 which is fine but there was no strap included and the aftermarket metal link strap I’d been using for ages didn’t want to latch on both sides.
So bought another equivalent strap and that’s fine.
Could have done without the hassle of all this I certainly won’t be going swimming in this one despite its claim to be waterproof to 50m or whatever nonsense!

Hi @Henryhomp - the straps on the Versa 3 & 4 should be the same, may be a little cleaning is necessary.
You will find the Versa 4 doesn't have all the features, apps and some clock faces you had on the Versa 3.
