I am quite disappointed and at a loss as to how this is not considered a manufacturers defect.
In March of 2022 I purchased a Versa 3. I was quite pleased with the performance however, about 5 - 6 months in I noticed a somewaht hallow sound coming from the unit whenever I tapped the face of the device. In October of 2022 the face simply detached from the unit. At tha point I had been using it for approximately 7 months.
I contacted Fit Bit Support and they did sent me a new device which I received in November of 2022.
Lat week, September 2023, the replacement started to exhibit the exact same symptoms and, sure enough, this week the face detached from the unit. The exact same issue after only 10 months.
When I contacted Fit Bit support I was told that the unit is out of warranty. I paid cloe to 300.00 CDN for this unit. The second unit, the replacement, is still within their warranty period and yet they are refusing to provide a replacement. They instead offered me a 35% discount to purchase another unit.
To make things even more frustrating, after I had declined the offer of a 35% discount and escalated the issue the support team asked me to send pictures of my unit and had me hand write a new case number, which they provided, on a piece of paper and take a picture of that as well and send it to them. I thought they were doing this because they had finally decided to repalce my unit. Instead, I receiveed a response stating that I had already been provided a discount and I was out of luck. The CSR even stated that they see my point but sorry, too bad so sad.
I am wondering, am I off base in expecting them to replace the unit? Is a 300.00 device only supposed to last the length of the warranty period, or not even that long? Has a 300,00 spend on a device become an insignificant amount and are these device to be considered as disposable items?

@Tavman Hi. Sorry you're having so much trouble. European areas have a 2 year warranty by law. Everyone else has 1 year. Warranty goes by original purchase date. You're replacement was covered until March 2023. You don't get a fresh new warranty on a replacement.
