My Versa 3 GPS can not seem to stay connected onto a gps. It was working perfectly fine till 3 days back. I have tried sorting it out with device restarts and app re installation and so on as per the support page. But none seems to be doing the trick as of yet. It gets connected and stays connected for a random period of time. Sometimes it’s a minute or two. One times it’s not even a second. It then goes of into the gps connecting display and stays like that for minutes at a stretch. It’s seriously hindering my biking data. Not to mention the increased battery drain. Is there a solution for this ? Or has my Versa 3 run of its GPS capabilities ?

The GPS has several drawbacks. First, the accuracy is sporadic - usually underestimating mileage but once in a while overestimating. It is also common for the GPS to loose its connection during the workout. My Garmin is heads over tails better. Not at all pleased with the Veras 3.

Hi, welcome to the Fitbit Community forums, @Wally22.
Thank you for sharing that you've been experiencing the same issue with your Charge 5.
If the GPS is getting disconnected during your activity, the watch may track different information for the the distance. Before considering other options, make sure to follow the steps suggested in this article.
All devices with GPS sensors require a direct path to GPS satellites to calculate location. A weak GPS signal might affect the accuracy of your route and other activity data. Your device uses your step count to calculate distance until it finds a signal, so the total distance calculated for a workout may be slightly less accurate when GPS isn't available for the entire time. In particular, please make sure of the following:
If you continue to experience the same behavior and your GPS is getting disconnected, make sure to try following the steps listed in this article to complete a restart, as this has been useful for other users experiencing something similar.
