Versa 3 GPS / distance traveled is incorrect

Got my new Versa 3 for Xmas, and so disappointed that the distance travelled is incorrect. 

I connect correctly the GPS before starting my run etc.... yet it's way out. About 0.6km out on a known 5km circuit. Hence all my times and data are incorrect?  Any ideas, or anyone else had this issue?

Regarding the GPS data issue that your Versa 3 has experienced, I was able to get in touch with our Support team and was told that they assisted you via chat. In case the issue persists, please contact them with the reference number they provided and they'll be happy to follow up and assist you accordingly.

Hi Juan, 

You are correct as did reach out to your Support Team, who simply told me to wait for a update?! Not very useful and no update as yet.
Soooooo disappointed that the GPS don’t track correctly on my new Versa 3. I want to return the watch as it simply don’t do what it suggests it does, but unfortunately I’m out of my home country so can’t return it. Basically a waste of money, as I’m back to using my phone while out jogging 3 times a week. I’ve asked Fitbit about the warranty, to be told it all depends on where I purchased the watch from? Hence they are taking no responsibility for this situation and non-working product. I’m stuck with a new a $250+ Versa 3 that is about 10 to 20% out on its GPS map/tracking.

I am having the same issue. My runs are coming up about 0.2 miles short. I almost moved away from FitBit after some bad experiences with my Charge 3 but decided to give it one more try since I like the app and I picked this one specifically for the GPS. I’m sorry I did. The watch went on sale on the site  right after I bought it and they wouldn’t refund anything and now this issue. I’m disappointed for sure.
