Versa 3 band adapter from Strapsco

  • I've tried replacing my Versa 3 band 4 or 5 times and in each case the strap comes away from the main watch. I wondered whether the adapter you can get from Strapsco works any better in keeping it secure?  I'm way past my warranty, and I'm starting to get ghosting on the screen, so I don't know that it's worth an expensive band at this point. Any suggestions?

@Sdueckman Strapsco is a good company and they have a nice selection of replacement bands for Fitbits. I'm not sure which adapter you are talking about. Can you share a link for that?

Normally, I would recommend a style like this to encapsulate a Fitbit that cannot connect securely to a regular band. IMO, it's not the most attractive band, but it might keep your Versa 3 going for a while longer.

Hi @Sdueckman   The small latch that holds the band in place has a spring that holds the band in place.  See this Help article.  GENTLY wiggle the latch, without a band in place, and make sure the spring works.  No band will help if you have a broken spring.

Using the always on display can give you screen burn in.  You generally can’t fix that, either.

Thanks, LZeeW.  The spring mechanism seems to work fine; I think its the silicon straps that actually fail after about 4 or 5 months.  I've examined them (yes, I kept them, just in case) and it seems that although they click into place, they will release at the slightest pressure on the band, i.e., if I lean against something or hit my wrist on something.  Just not reliable.

See my reply to LZeeW to see the adapter that I think might last longer.

@Sdueckman if you're sure the spring mechanism is okay, I think that adapter would work for you. I also think these bands would work. I bought a 3-pack of these for my Sense in 2021 and they are still going strong. (The original Sense is basically a Versa 3 with a some extra sensors.)
