I spent hundreds of dollars on a Fitbit Versa, having been a Fitbit user for many years - I love the products and it’s software.
However, like many others, my strap keeps breaking - not just once or twice but three times now.
I am totally over it. Why should I risk losing my Fitbit every-time I wear it because of a design/ engineering malfunction?!
I already placed a claim for one replacement band (not that the claims still shows as having been approved but not shipped - this was last year).
so I am left trying to find a replacement strap - something that is ridiculously hard to do.
Normally I would be looking to upgrade my Fitbit after a while but in no way can I put up with this substandard service.
Who has time for multiple breakages, poor function and then the stress and time consuming effort of having to contact Fitbit.
I also note that the customer service is getting worse: you can no longer email Fitbit support.
Basically, as a long standing, loyal customer of many years, I can tell you that the hardware is poor and the customer service is getting worse.
Here’s what I, as a customer would like from Fitbit:
1. A replacement strap/ Fitbit that actually works and that does not fail.
2. Formal acknowledgment from Fitbit that the straps are indeed malfunctioning and that they can do better.
3. A promise from Fitbit that they will fix this in all future models.
4. An undertaking from Fitbit that they will replace all malfunctioning bands for the life of the product (given that it’s a sustained issue).

I am also having problems with the band where the band disengages from the watch itself and I worry too I'm going to lose my watch. This didn't happen when I had the Ionic. (Loved that watch but changed due to the recall.)
