Versa 3 battery drains faster when I sleep

Hi there

After 2 months of use I realize that I will have to recharge my battery every day with the Versa 3. But why the battery drains so quickly when I sleep? What can I deactivate? My Versa 3 was 99% before I went to bed and when I woke up it was 25%, very bad. The device is nice but it looks like the battery usage is a real letdown.

@Guy_ Thanks a lot for your tips

Here the result for me:

  • With SpO2 tracker and Snore Detection battery usage over the night is 60%
  • After remove the SpO2 & Snore Detection battery usage over the night is 8%

Conclusion, I should stop using these interesting feature or recharge my battery every morning

Same thing is happening to me and it's driving me crazy! They say up to 6 day battery life and I'm having to charge it almost every day and I use it for the bare minimum... 1 workout a day on the treadmill...

Charge fast, drain fast I think this is the mistake on this device. Hope they can fixe that with a update but I don't expext to much from them specialy with Google. They always make new device insted of fixing problems

@MarkMori, @Sin7877  - there are several features [especially over night] that use lots of battery, see How to resolve the Major issues causing short battery life. Currently this seems to be a common problem, possibly since recent updates.

Thanks for your feedback and try to help,

But with all my respect, are they planning to fix the last update ? I put my watch in sleep mode when I went to bed and that should be enough, don't you think?

Best Answer

@MarkMori  - putting your watch in sleep mode only dims the screen and turns off screen wake and notifications.

But sleep mode should fix these problems. After that, they only thing can help me is to remove snore detection

  • Status indicators
  • Always On Display
  • high brightness
  • long display timeout
  • some music functions
  • etc.

@MarkMori  - you can also remove SpO2 clock face and tracker app, they consume about 2 days battery alone.

@MarkMori- thanks for the useful feedback, it will help other.

In that configuration it is what one would expect, in fact it uses slightly less battery at night than during the day and should be around 16-20% for a whole day.
