Versa 3 battery drains when it's shut down

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have been using my Versa 3 for 15 months and I like it. When the watch is on and off-wrist, it can keep the charge for up to six days but when I turn it off it rapidly discharges in two days.

Please let me know if you have a similar experience or any solution.

Hi @Saman65  - that is odd behaviour for a watch but a rapid discharge especially if you did a full shutdown would indicate internal damage possibly from water getting in.

It could be the moisture is causing a short circuit inside depending on the position the watch is in when shutdown but ultimately will cause internal damage in every position.

If it gets hot while charging stop immediately and if it develops other odd symptoms it would confirm an internal problem.

Thank you for your reply. The fast discharging happens when the watch is
shut down. So I think that there should be a glitch in its program.

@Saman65 - thanks, when a watch is Shutdown the only thing left running is the clock (time) on some watches, which consumes very little battery. Something else is probably going on with your watch and given the age, look out for other symptoms.

Let me give you a report to see how fast my Versa 3 watch is discharged. I charged my watch to 100% on June 7th 20h20. When I turned it on on June 9th at 15h22, its charge was 18% in less than two days! But when it is on and not on-wrist, the charge will endure 5 days!

It is really strange and I think that when the watch is shut down it activates all of the features and consumes electricity more than on mode.

The watch seems normal in other situations and does not get hot at all.
