Lately my Versa 3's battery has to be charged every couple of days. During that time, I haven't "exercised" excessively to make it drain. I haven't changed anything. Didn't know if eventually it just doesn't charge as well as it did when it was new. It hasn't been in the water so I don't believe there is water damage to the ports.

Yes I have and I think I've tried everything - I've turned off some apps (don't use them) changed the vibration and display settings.

I know it sounds silly but try to charge it from a laptop/computer USB port. If you are using a USB adapter that plugs into an outlet: please be sure that you don't leave it connected after it reached 100%. Maybe in this way you can extend your battery life. I had 2 Versa 3s that only last for 6-7h on a charge so it might be something that affects all of them. Good luck!
