Versa 3 battery is draining overnight

Hi,

I've had the Versa 3 a little over a week now it's great my only problem is the battery is depleting anything upto 25% in the night.. During the day it drops by maybe 5-10% but when I go sleep it drops upto 25% I've gone through different websites to turn features off GPS, Bluetooth on the phone, brightness etc.

Is there anything else I can try? Because I'll have to send this back and get a different watch as the battery shouldn't be dropping by 25% when I'm asleep doing nothing compared to the day.

Anything at all would be great.

Thanks.

Hi there, @AndyJ58. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Versa 3 before reaching out.

Are you using Snore Detection? If so, please note that the Snore Detection feature does impact your device’s battery, so we recommend charging your device to at least 40% before going to bed. For more information, see How can I use my Fitbit device to detect snoring and noise levels while I sleep?

As you already know, that the battery life will depend on how frequent certain features are used in general. With that being said, I suggest making sure you've followed all tips and recommendations provided here

Hi MarreFitbit,

Thanks for the reply.

I did notice this option after posting this and have since turned it off so I will see how I get on today and feedback with what happens.

Fingers crossed it doesn't drain my battery as that's the only negative I have currently.

Thanks.

Update:

Hi @MarreFitbit

Just wanted update this.. Turned the snore detection off and the battery overnight used 2% which is great instead of the 25% it was.

It's amazing how one option can use so much of the battery I think I'll leave that turned off.

Thanks again for the tip.

I've been dealing with major battery drain the past week or so with my Versa 3. I do remember going in and turning on the Snore Detection. Thanks for posting and sharing.

@MarreFitbit  I'll be sure to keep that turned off it's amazing a little tick box can caused the battery to drop like that overnight.. Is there any reason for it to happen? Does seem a little excessive to drop upto 25% overnight due to that being turned on. I'll be sure to check out the H&W section thanks for the link 🙂

@SunsetRunner I only found that option after going deeper into the options and noticed it so turned it off then had the reply back about it but my battery is on 88% currently from yesterday much better than what would probably be 60% ish. Does amaze me really how it drains the battery so much being turned on i was about to send it back due to the battery not lasting the upto 6 days as advertised..

I've had the Versa 3 since it launched and never had any issues. I was checking out some of the features for the Premium subscription since I had a free trial and not sure if the snore feature was buried in Premium or free, but forgot that I turned it on. Glad I finally went on the Fitbit support to search. Snore feature is turned off and versa 3 fully charged. Assuming j will be good to go now.
