My Versa 3 stopped functioning yesterday (2.15.24). It was fully charged, no previous issues noted, screen went black, device totally unresponsive. Contacted online support, used all their suggestions still nothing. Device no longer under warranty. Husband also has identical device only 6 months old. Today, his did the same thing! However, when we put it back on the charger, it woke up. NOTE, when it came on, it went through similar screens/functions - as if it was a brand new device, that had not yet been set up! I am now VERY curious if this is an issue within Fit Bit/Google?! I have had issues previously, when there were software updates, though none like this. I decided to come onto the community chat to see if anyone has had a similar issue - in the last 24 hours - and I see that is the case!

Hi @Womaninpearls yes I had the exact same thing happen to me on the 15th. It was 50% when I went to sleep, woke in the middle of the night, went to check the time, the bottom made the sound but nothing on the screen, just black. Couple of hours later tried it again, no sound and still black. Put it on the charger, nothing.

The exact same thing happened to me today. I still can’t get it to or show the time.
What has happened since?

Yes, I have tried using my husband's cable to no avail. However his device will connect and charge with either his own cable or mine. TY for your suggestion.

I deleted my DOA device from my account. My husband gave me his Versa 3 which I paired to my profile. Not the solution I had hoped for, but I am at least up and running. What is bizarre, is that my husband's device was acting peculiar as well?! It too went black, though fully charged. However, it did wake up when placed on the charger - but it came on as a new device that had never been configured! All before I did a factor reset and added to my account...
Is your unit still dead?
