My Versa 3 constantly drops Bluetooth connection, so I stop getting notifications, calls, music controls etc on my versa. I repeatedly have to forget device and pair again. Most of the time I’m not bothering as it is such a nuisance. I’m basically using without the functionality I paid for and needed. If a solution isn’t found soon, I’m going to return and switch brands.

Hi @Billy1971 - this may be because you are closing the Fitbit App or the phone is, due to battery saving.
For notifications to function both Bluetooth and the Fitbit App need to run in background.
Versa 3 controls won't stay connected and is not used to send notifications to the watch.
Also make sure in Quick Settings [swipe the watch face to the right] that neither Sleep or do not disturb are enabled. And note the latest version of the Fitbit App prior to version 3.65 has a bug which stops notifications coming to the watch currently. If you can update to this version that issue may be resolved.

I have a similar problem. Since a few days it doesn’t stay connected with Bluetooth. My iphone13 does not recognize my Versa3. So every time I open the app, a request to connect the Watch to the phone pops up. Very disturbing.

These tips did not help me. I will post my issue seperately.

Hi, I appreciate the comments and ideas, but that isn’t the issue. The versa 3 controls disconnects whether the app is open or closed. Additionally, this was never an issue with my previous charge or ionic versions. Also tested with my wife’s charge 5 and no issues whether open or closed. I made sure the sleep and do not disturb we’re off and still doesn’t maintain connection. However, I would want it to work with these on anyway as I don’t want to have it vibrating on my wrist while sleeping.
it seems like a software or hardware issue with the watch. Bloody annoying

@Billy1971- you say "The versa 3 controls disconnects whether the app is open or closed." This is how it is supposed to work.
If you mean the "Versa 3" Bluetooth entry that is supposed to be available all the time, regardless of Sleep or Do not disturb. If the battery optimization on the phone stops either Bluetooth or the Fitbit App [or you do manually] that will be a problem.
Try the free SimpleCheckUp app. This will tell you when you last synced and if the watch can connect to the Fitbit App, directly on the watch. This will help isolate the problem.
It should be noted that the were some issues with a recent version of the Fitbit App, make sure, you are on the latest 3.65 or later version.

Sync works fine. It is notifications, calls, music control etc that doesn’t work consistently. Basically, connectivity fails more than it is active. I can get a notification after setting up Bluetooth versa 3 controls, but it doesn’t stay active and stops providing notifications etc.
