Versa 3 deleted my steps after turning it off

The weirdest thing happened today. I had gotten 7,525 steps in by 11:00 AM. I then turned off my Fitbit Versa 3 and took it off because I needed to run an errand. When I came home and put it back on, it was at 7,323 steps! Why did it take away some of my steps? This has never happened before.

Thanks in advance!

Hi there, @talia95. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the troubleshooting steps you've tried. I'm sorry to hear that your Versa 3 lost some steps after you turned it off. I understand your concern, I will do my best to help you with this!

We are not sure what might have caused this, but we would expect this to be one glitch and I would ask you to keep an eye on your Versa 3. In case this happens again, please let me know and I will be glad to further investigate.

Since you remember the exact amount of steps you lost, you can try manually logging the activity. For more information, see How do I manually log exercises in the Fitbit app?
