Versa 3 is not logging treadmill activity. Today 25 mins of continuous activity was not logged in the app.
when entering the workout manually it either adds steps or takes steps away from my total (my total steps already include the treadmill activity as I was wearing my watch at the time of activity)
im at a loss of how to record my workouts accurately as it all helps for motivation.
Any help appreciated.

Hi there, @Sarahw121. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the issue with your Versa 3.
While reading your post, I was wondering how you track your treadmill activity? Do you use SmartTrack or you start the activity directly from the Exercise app on your Versa 3?
If you are using the Treadmill exercise mode on the Versa 3 it will use the Walking Stride Length and not the Running Stride Length for calculating distance from the number of steps. This will cause the distance to be off substantially. So, if you are running on the Treadmill/Elliptical, it is better to use the Run exercise mode, assuming you have correctly set up the stride lengths for Walk and Run. However, keep in mind that it is important that your arms swing freely in order for the Versa 3 to count steps, and not held next to the body.
Also, please note that your Fitbit device may not detect the number of steps if your arm is not moving. If you walk with a normal arm swing on the Treadmill/Elliptical, it should count the proper number of steps and calories. Take a look at the article: How does my Fitbit device calculate my daily activity?
To properly update your stride length, track a run with GPS or measure your stride length manually. For more information, see Can I change my stride length in my Fitbit account?
Regarding the manual exercise log, please note your steps will be recalculated if you manually log an activity as the manually logged activity takes precedence over the steps you tracked while wearing your Fitbit device at that point in time. For example, if I am wearing my Versa 3 while walking and I reach 10,000 steps, then I go to the Fitbit app and manually log an activity that starts and ends at that point in time for say 1 hour, Fitbit will calculate how many steps I took and it may bring my step count to something below 10,000 steps. To clarify, activities should only be manually logged when you forget to wear your Fitbit.
