Versa 3 died after 18 months, frozen on logo.

Yesterday my Versa 3 died after 18 months. I purchased it in March 2022. Wore the watch every day. Yesterday, I looked down and it was frozen on the logo. Tried to restart the watch, no luck. It continues to show the logo. Called support. The 1 year warranty has expired and Fitbit doesn't repair watches out of warranty.

This was my first and last Fitbit tracker. For its short life it was an okay watch. The touch screen could be a pain to operate. In my opinion a fitness tracker should last a minimum of 4-5 years, just like a cell phone. Should it break it should be repairable.

To add insult to injury, had I been in Europe it would have been covered by the Fitbit 2 year warranty.

LIMITED PRODUCT WARRANTY FOR NEW PRODUCTS

Fitbit warrants to the original purchaser that your Fitbit-branded device and accessories that are new (the "New Product(s)") shall be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase, except that if you reside in the European Economic Area (EEA) and you purchased your Fitbit product in the EEA, the warranty period is two (2) years from the date of purchase (the "New Product Warranty Period").

HI Peter.

I am of no help other than sympathy.

My Versa 3 purchased 14 months ago ( Yes, just past the 12 month warranty) went blank a few days ago apart from occasionally showing the logo.

Pressing for restart  does nothing, cleaning the electodes at  the back isn't changing anything.

It doesn't inspire optimism in buying another at this stage.

My versa3 has worked very well until this morning when after tracking over 5k steps snd 74 stairs I noticed it displaying only the logo. It won’t restart either. One forum suggested removing it from my fitbit app. All that did was screw up my data. I had been on a 1057 day streak hitting all my goals. I guess that’s it for fitbit. I’m going to have to go back to my apple watch which frankly doesn’t track as well.

Mine, Versa 3, went into a logo only freeze yesterday and reset hasn't worked.  Going to try and contact customer support but nothing on these forums has me optimistic.  Looks like a brand change coming for me.

There is no answer and no real resolution. It is a junk model. They know it, and now their customers do as well.

I bought the Versa when my previous tracker was recalled. I’m still trying to get the refund which was put on an electronic debit card that has been as reliable as the Versa3. As much as I prefer the fitbit, I bought a refurbished Apple Watch while waiting for the Versa. It’s still working do that’s what I will keep. After 3 fitbit tracker failures, I’m calling em out on strikes😔

Congratulations on the 1057 day streak, that's impressive.  Sorry it bricked on you, that would frustrate the heck out of me.

Mine went into “logo” mode on 9/4/23 and hadn’t changed. This looks like a firmware/software issue most likely caused by an update. I have switched to an Apple Watch. I manually enter the stats I want to track in the Fitbit App which are not well handled by Apple. A bit of a pain but it works for now. What really annoys me is that removing my Versa3 also deleted all my fitbit history. Very pathetic!
